Extended essays on George Méliès, David Wark Griffith, Carl Theodore Dreyer, and Sergei Eisenstein. The original program included screenings of forty-three films by Méliès, Griffith, Dreyer, Eisenstein, Cocteau and Edwin Porter. Includes an introduction by Robert Creeley.
